Accessibility Statement
Wide VR Srl wants widevr.com to work for everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification or reduced motion settings. This statement explains the standard we follow, what we have done, what is not yet fully accessible and how to tell us about a problem.
Our standard
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as our reference. widevr.com is partially conformant with this standard: the pages we have tested pass the checks described below, but some content, listed under Known limitations, does not yet fully conform.
What we have done
- Checked the colour contrast of text and controls, including text placed over images and videos, and darkened the colours that did not pass.
- Added a pause button to every moving background video and to the scrolling band of client logos. If your device is set to reduce motion, everything starts paused, and your choice is remembered on the following pages.
- Added a “Skip to content” link, the first item you reach with the Tab key, and a clearly visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields.
- Made links and buttons at least 24 by 24 pixels, so they are easier to hit with a finger or a mouse.
- Gave each page one main heading and put headings in a logical order, so screen reader users can move through a page by heading.
- Added text alternatives to meaningful images and spoken names to icon-only links, such as the social media links.
- Marked the main areas of each page (header, navigation, main content and footer) so that assistive technologies can jump between them.
- Kept layouts readable on phone screens without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
Some content is interactive 3D or is provided by third parties, and is not yet fully accessible:
- Interactive 3D tours and configurators. The virtual tours and 3D configurators embedded on, or linked from, our pages are designed for mouse, touch or VR controllers and cannot be fully used with a keyboard or a screen reader. If you need the information they contain, write to us and we will help you get it in another format.
- YouTube videos. Videos embedded from YouTube use YouTube’s own player, whose accessibility features are managed by YouTube.
- Cookie banner. The cookie banner and the cookie preferences window are provided by iubenda, and their accessibility depends on that service.
How we tested
On 6 November 2026 we tested the main pages of the site, including project and news pages, with the automated tool axe-core 4.10 against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA. We also checked them by hand with the keyboard, at desktop and phone widths. Automated tools cannot find every barrier, so we will keep reviewing the site as it changes.
Feedback and contact
If you find a barrier on widevr.com, or need any content in a different format, please write to info@widevr.com. Tell us the page address and what went wrong, and we will get back to you.
