Wide VR at boot Düsseldorf 2026: the new Pardo P43 3D Configurator

This January, Wide VR joined Cantiere del Pardo at boot Düsseldorf 2026, one of the world's largest boat shows, to present a new way of experiencing a yacht before it's ever built.

A configurator built the way automotive brands build theirs — but for boats.

At the center of the stand was the new 3D configurator for the Pardo P43, developed by Wide VR together with Cantiere del Pardo. The tool draws directly on the configuration experiences used by leading automotive brands, translated for the first time into the world of yachting: visitors could rotate the full model in real time and adjust hundreds of individual details — from hull colors and upholstery to deck layouts and finishes — watching every choice update instantly on screen.

Rather than flipping through brochures or choosing from a handful of pre-set packages, guests could build their own version of the P43 piece by piece, in a session that felt closer to configuring a car online than browsing a boat catalogue.

Alongside the configurator, Wide VR brought two fully navigable virtual reality experiences to the stand: a VR version of the Pardo P43 and, for the first time, the new Pardo GT65. Wearing a headset, visitors could walk the deck, move below into the cabins, and explore each boat at real scale, long before a physical hull existed to step onto.

Over the course of the show, the two experiences were tested by dozens of visitors — from prospective owners to industry press — many trying a virtual boat tour for the first time. The reaction was consistent: being able to walk through a yacht's interior and instantly see the effect of a chosen finish, layout or color made the P43 and GT65 feel tangible in a way no rendering or video could.

For Wide VR, boot Düsseldorf 2026 confirmed what previous projects had already shown: that real-time 3D and VR are becoming a natural part of how products are designed, presented and sold — and, together with Cantiere del Pardo, offered a first look at what that means for the future of yacht buying.
