Grand Soleil Blue

A touch-screen 3D app for the boat show
The Grand Soleil Blue is the new 33-foot daysailer by Cantiere del Pardo, with naval architecture by Matteo Polli and lines and interiors by Nauta Design. For its presentation at boot Düsseldorf 2025, Wide VR built a real-time 3D app of the boat, which Grand Soleil showed on a touch screen at the Grand Soleil Blue stand.
Six ways to explore the boat
Visitors switch between six modes: Screensaver; Orbit, around the boat under sail; Focus, on the stern, the bow, the rudder and the interior; First Person, to walk the deck, the cockpit and the cabin; Cinematic; and Concept.
The concept, explained in 3D
Grand Soleil presents the boat as 100% recyclable and zero-emission under way. In Concept mode the app explains the ideas behind it in six topics: resin, design, propulsion, autonomy, sails and energy, from design for disassembly to the solar panels in the coachroof.
VR and augmented reality
Wide VR also built a virtual reality version and an augmented reality version of the experience for headsets.
